The Dorset Health Trust is a Registered Charity and Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee.
The Trust awards grants for the relief of sickness and the preservation of health, supporting charities and other organisations that benefit communities across North, South and West Dorset.
Our Charitable Purpose
The Trust exists to support health-focused work across Dorset through grant funding.
Applications may be considered where funding will help relieve sickness, preserve health, or improve services and support available to people in the Trust’s geographical area.
The Trust’s work is guided by its charitable objectives and overseen by its Trustees.
The Area we Support
The Dorset Health Trust supports communities across North, South and West Dorset.
The postal districts covered by the Trust are:
- DT1 to DT11 inclusive
- BH19, BH20
- SP7, SP8
Applicants should explain the geographical area in which they operate and how many expected beneficiaries from the grant live within the Trust’s area (see map).
How we Work
The Dorset Health Trust reviews grant applications carefully and impartially, with each request considered against the Trust’s charitable purpose and the benefit it may bring to communities across North, South and West Dorset. Successful applicants are required to report back on how the grant has been used and the difference it has made, helping the Trust understand the impact of its support.
